First, navigate to the Adobe Flash Player About page: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/


In the screen shot below, you'll notice a white box with a red X that I've highlighted with a yellow outline. If your screen looks similar, then your browser was unable to load the Flash Player plug-in.

Next we'll check to see if the plug-in is both installed and enabled. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser window and select "Manage add-ons" from the menu.

The Manage Add-ons dialog will appear. Verify that "Toolbars and Extensions" is selected in the left hand pane and then locate the "Shockwave Flash Object" entry on the right. I've selected this entry in the screenshot below.


Once found, check the status. It will be either "Enabled" or "Disabled". If "Disabled", select the row and click the Enable button which I've highlighted in the lower right corner of the dialog. Once enabled, click the Close button to dismiss the dialog.

• If you are using the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, please note that you'll need to install the 64-bit version of Flash Player. You can check your version of Internet Explorer by clicking the gear icon and selecting "About Internet Explorer" from the menu.

Finally, refresh the page (press the F5 key) and you should be presented with a page that looks similar to the

following screenshot. You'll notice that the white box highlighted before now contains version information for the currently installed Flash Player. Congratulations, Flash Player is now properly configured.

1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
3. In the Performance pane, click Settings.

How to Create System Restore Point ?

1. Right-click on My Computer and go to Properties.

3. The System Properties dialog screen opens up and you will want to click on Create.

Microsoft System Configuration (MSconfig)

1. Click on the Windows 7 start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.

2. Type MSCONFIG in the search box and then either press enter on your keyboard or

double-click on the MSCONFIG program that appears in the search results.

4. Windows 7 will launch Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup
tab.

4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items, remove the check mark from the
item which you want to disable.

5. Click on Apply and then OK button.



6. A message will pop up telling you that you must restart your computer before these 

changes will take effect. Click on "Restart" and your computer will automatically reboot.

Note: If you ever want to turn on any of the startup items you disabled with MSCONFIG, just run MSCONFIG again.

1. Open the Start Menu, click on All Programs, Accessories folder, System Tools folder,
and Disk Cleanup. (see screenshot below)


NOTE: You could also type cleanmgr into the search box and press Enter to open Disk
Cleanup.

2. Select the drive that you want to use Disk Cleanup on, and click on OK. (see screenshot

below)

NOTE: You will not see this window unless you have more than one drive or partition on your

computer.

3. You will now see this screenshot below for a moment. Afterwards, do step 4, 5, 6, or 7 for

what you would like to delete using Disk Cleanup.

4.  To Delete Unnecessary Non-System Files

A) Check the type of files box that you want to delete, and click on OK. (see screenshot

below)

B) Click on the Delete Files button. (see screenshot below)

C) The files will be deleted and Disk Cleanup will close.


5. To Delete Unnecessary System Files


A) Click on the Clean up system files button. (see screenshot below)


NOTE: If you just did a upgrade install or repair install recently, then you will also see the Files discarded by Windows upgrade option. 
This would be for the C:\$INPLACE.~TR and

C:\$WINDOWS.~Q folders. If you just did a custom install recently, then you will also see the
Previous Windows installations option. This would be for the C:\Windows.old folder.

B) If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.


C) Repeat steps 2 to 4.



6. To Open Programs and Features
NOTE: This will open the Programs and Features window where you can uninstall programs.
Normally you could also do this by opening Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
A) Click on the Clean up system files button, and repeat steps 2 and 3. (see screenshot
below step 5A)


B) If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.


C) Click on the Delete button to confirm the deletion. (see screenshot below)

D) The files will be deleted and Disk Cleanup will close.

Steps To Optimize the computer for Best Performance

1. Create Restore point and name it as “live-technician”.
2. Delete Temp and %Temp%. (do not delete items from prefetch folder)
3. Run Disk Cleanup utility.
4. Increase Virtual Memory.
5. Adjust “performance options” for best performance.
6. Uninstall Unwanted Programs.
7. Disable unwanted services and unwanted start up programs from MsConfig.
8. Check for infections and remove them with Malwarebytes/Super
Antispyware/Hitman Pro/SmitFraud Fix.
